Sev is one of the two main male protagonists of the Crown of Feathers series. He is a soldier and animage, and serves as a spy for the Phoenix Riders.
Physical Description[]
Sev is a young man with light brown skin and dark brown hair. He is quite tall, being described as about the same height as his lover Kade, and is quite skinny, more bone than muscle. His attire is that of a soldier's armor.
Personality[]
At first, Sev is selfish and only thinks about himself. This is due to needing to survive on the streets for years before being forced to join the army. He is used to only being able to care about himself--care for anyone else was a liability. He is extremely pragmatic.
Before being discovered by Trix, he attempts to desert the army many times. He has an insecurity, to some extent, of essentially betraying other animages by being an animage working with those who oppress his kind. The bondservants constantly remind him of this.
Over the course of the series, he slowly begins to change, especially because of his growing feelings for his then acquaintance, Kade. He becomes more selfless by the end of Crown of Feathers, as he volunteers to return to the Empire as a spy, risking his life for others. After given the chance to return to the Phoenix Riders by the end of Heart of Flames, he goes to protect Tristan even though he will be separated from Kade. In one of Kade's chapters, he states Sev has become "heroic".

Animage[]
As a animage, Sev can communicate with animals. He is shown to be good at it as he has a good relationship with the animals. However, he repressed it for years, and animage abilities while in the anti-animage army did take a toll on him mentally.
